Paulette Kirby, NP, competed in the Wenger Patagonian Expedition Race, a 400-mile expedition race that started at the tip of South America on the island of Tierra del Fuego. The race included sea kayaking through the Strait of Magellan, trekking through the wilds of Patagonia and climbing in the Andes mountains. The mission of the race is to raise awareness and preserve the beauty of the Patagonian wilderness. Kirby thrives on these types of races and is grateful to her sponsor First Ascent and to the Wenger group for enabling her to embark on this adventure. "It fuels you for life," she says.
