Leslie Wooldridge is a gerontologic nurse practitioner who became interested in urology during NP school, and now operates her own independent practice, Mercy Health Partners Bladder Control Clinic in Muskegon, Mich. She participated in a study that addressed the efficacy of percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS) for continence. The study was published in the Journal of Urology and found that PTNS had significant positive effects on patients' urinary continence. Listen below to hear more about the study and the urology specialty.
Wooldridge recommends visiting the following sites for more information and conference information: Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates, American Urological Association and the International Continence Society.
