Each year, nurses and nurse practitioners across the country have the opportunity to nominate members of their healthcare community for two American Association of Nurse Practitioner (AANP) awards: the NP State Award for Excellence and the Advocate State Award for Excellence.
The NP State Award for Excellence is awarded to one NP from each state. This award is given to NPs who demonstrate excellence in NP clinical practice.
The Advocate State Award for Excellence is awarded to one person from each state who has made a significant contribution toward increasing NP awareness, recognizing the importance of NPs in the healthcare field, and advocating on behalf of NPs. The people chosen for this award can be in any discipline, including physicians, legislators, educators and more.
Nominations can be submitted until Oct. 10. Only current AANP members are able to nominate people for these awards.
