'Certified Nurses are Everywhere!' Wins PSA Honor

After attracting more than 362 million impressions, the public awareness campaign "Certified Nurses are Everywhere!" was recognized as one of the top 10 public service announcements (PSAs) in 2015.

In 2014, the National Certification Corporation (NCC) launched the national PSA campaign titled "Certified Nurses are Everywhere!" Since its release, the PSA has been broadcast more than 48,000 times on television, internet advertisement and transit advertisement platforms.

"Nurses are probably the foremost providers of care throughout the healthcare system," said Robin L. Bissinger, PhD, APRN, NNP-BC, FAAN, executive director of NCC. "Nurses certified in their clinical specialties serve as agents of change and advocates of best practice for the patients they serve."

The campaign's goal was to raise awareness about the more than 375,000 certified nurses in the United States. These nurses have a direct effect on healthcare, and NCC wanted to make the public more knowledgeable about their healthcare contributions.
