Head injury is a leading cause of disability throughout the world. Each year in the United States, an estimated 1.7 million people sustain a traumatic brain injury. Concussions are common and can be a challenge to treat. The best preparation is to become familiar with concussion resources in your area and to equip yourself with basic knowledge about how to assess, diagnose and treat mild traumatic brain injury.
